Ancien directeur des relations publiques de l’opérateur télécom sunrise, il a représenté la marque au sourire durant sept ans dans l’ensemble des médias suisses, par beau temps comme par mauvais temps et a été l’artisan de la montée en force de sa représentation médiatique en Suisse romande, durant cette époque. Mathieu est né en 1967. Il est donc un an plus âgé qu’Internet. Après une enfance vaudoise classique, il quitte Lausanne pour la Suisse orientale et St Gall, à vingt ans, afin d’ apprendre l'allemand et le suisse-allemand, d’étudier l‘économie d‘entreprise, ainsi que le marketing et effectuer quelques stages en entreprise. Après deux ans passés dans le département marketing d'une enseigne st galloise bien connue de commerce d’acier et d’outillage (à l’époque on ne parlait pas encore de B2B), il fonde une régie publicitaire et une maison d'édition spécialisée à 25 ans. A l'époque on ne parlait pas encore de startup... Puis, il collabore à l‘organisation du premier salon du Multimédia de Genève, dans le cadre du Salon international du livre et de la presse. Dès 1993, il édite plusieurs publications informatiques en langue française et allemande (Orbit News, Computer Infos, Swiss Business Computing, BUG2000, Agrovision) et fonde un cabinet-conseil servant à rapprocher Romands et Alémaniques. Dans le cadre du salon spécialisé dans l’ informatique « Computer », Mathieu co-organise l ’exposition « Les 20 ans du PC » avec le spécialiste alémanique Röbi Weiss et édite la version française du poster rétrospectif. Il est considéré depuis cette époque comme l ’un des historiens romands de l’informatique. Puis il édite Swiss Business Computing Online, le premier « Webzine » quotidien romand spécialisé dans l’informatique et co-fonde en 1998 le 1er parti Internet d’Europe (Internet Partei) avec quelques pionniers helvétiques du Net. La même année, il préside le conseil d’administration d’une une société de services active dans le prépresse , la lithographie et le multimédia jusqu'en 2001 et l'éclatement de la bulle internet. Sentant le vent tourner, il devient alors porte-parole de l’opérateur sunrise en 2001 et dirige son département de communication à Zurich et à Lausanne. Il revient en Romandie dès 2004, toujours en tant que porte-parole et responsable romand de la communication de sunrise (communication institutionnelle interne et externe, lobbying, Event-Sponsoring), pour se consacrer pleinement à la Suisse francophone. Il obtient cette même année le diplôme de Directeur de communication SAWI/SPRI ainsi que le diplôme fédéral de Conseil en Communication. Mathieu devient membre du comité directeur de la Société Romande de Relations Publiques de 2005 à 2008 ainsi que le représentant de la Suisse romande auprès du comité directeur de la Société Suisse de Relations Publiques. Il préside la Société Romande de Relations Publiques de 2006 à 2008. De 2006 à 2007, il pendule à nouveau entre Lausanne et Zurich en tant que directeur suisse des relations publiques de sunrise/TDC Switzerland AG. Als ehemaliger PR-Leiter des Telekomunternehmens Sunrise war er während sieben Jahren zuständig für die gesamte Mediaarbeit, und dies in guten wie in turbulenten Zeiten. Insbesondere hat er sich in der Koordination der Presse Deutsch- und französisch sprechende Schweiz einen Namen als «Botschafter der Romandie» gemacht.   Mathieu ist im Jahr 1967 geboren, ist also ein Jahr älter als das Internet. Nach einer klassischen welschen Kindheit verliess er mit 20 Jahren seine Heimatstadt Lausanne. In St. Gallen lernte er die deutsche Sprache wie auch Schweizerdeutsch. Er studierte Betriebswirtschaft mit Fachrichtung Marketing und absolvierte Praktika in verschiedenen Firmen. Nach zwei Jahren Berufserfahrung in der Marketingabteilung einer St. Galler Firma im Bereich Stahl- und Werkzeugbau (damals sprach man noch nicht von B2B), gründete er mit 25 Jahren eine Agentur für Werbung mit einem dazugehörigen Verlag. In dieser Epoche sprach man noch nicht von «startups». Anschliessend war er zuständig für die Organisation der ersten Ausstellung Multimedia in Genf, im Rahmen der «Internationalen Messe für Buch und Presse». Seit 1993 bearbeitete er mehrere IT-Publikationen in deutscher und französischer Sprache, wie Orbit News, Computer Infos, Swiss Business Computing, BUG2000 und Agrovision. Mathieu war Co-Initiator der Ausstellung «Les 20ans du PC», zusammen mit dem deutschen Informationsspezialisten Röbi Weiss. Mathieu verlegte anschliessend die französische Version des Posters Rückblick. Seit dieser Erfahrung gilt Mathieu als Fachmann der online-Medien der Romandie. Seit 2007 ist Mathieu Jurymitglied des Award Corporate Communications® (Preis für integrierte Kommunikation). He also obtains a Federal Diploma of Higher Vocational Education as Head of Communications and a IAA Diploma in Marketing Communications. Mathieu was the chairman of the Swiss French speaking Society of Public Relations from 2006 to 2008 and a member of the board of the Swiss Public Relations Society from 2005 to 2008. He is a regular member of the jury in the Federal examinations on public relations and a lecturer at SPRI and SAWI Institutes.
